Management Fundamentals
Overview
This module describes fundamental network management concepts, providing a basic
understanding of what network management is, how it works, and how it can be implemented.
Understanding the fundamentals makes it easier to comprehend the process, standards, and
tools available for implementing network management. This will facilitate the understanding of
the CiscoWorks suite of network management applications.
Module Objectives
Upon completing this module, you will be able to describe fundamental network management
concepts. This ability includes being able to meet these objectives:
Define network management by identifying goals for proper network operation and
breaking it down into functional areas
Explore the process of collecting network status and health information
